Hello my name is John C Phillips I have lived in Pen-y-Cae all my life, I am married and have five children. My education began at Ysgol Y Wern then onto secondary education at Ysgol Y Grango and Ysgol Ruabon. I also attended William Aston College and studied Radio and Television servicing. I have worked at Rhos Radio in the village of Rhosllanerchrugog for the past 45 years.
For a number of years I have been a member of Pen-y-Cae Community Council and along with fellow members collectively make decisions to help and improve the Community in where we live. Pen-y-Cae is a lovely place and it’s great to be a part of our community. In 2012 I stood as an Independent candidate in the local elections, to represent Pen-y-Cae on Wrexham County Borough Council, it was truly a humbling experience to be elected and a very proud moment in my life, to be re elected in 2017.
I’m also a member of the Pen-y-Cae Community Group, who are a small group of volunteers who organise events and activities for the benefit of our community. It’s a great feeling to be part of the team. When I have the time which isn't often, I really do enjoy going for a ride on my motorcycle, it’s good to have a break now and again even if it’s just for a couple of hours.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you think I can help in anyway, I will always do my very best. May I take this opportunity to say thank you for the continued support, it means a lot thank you.
