Cllr. Mrs Phyllis Matthews

I moved to Pen-y-Cae 16 years ago and have been a Community Councillor since June 2004.  I worked for Wrexham County Borough Council as Manager of the Family Information Service for 15 Years until my retirement in 2011.

 

I have represented the Community Council on the Pen-y-Cae Steering Group since it was set up in 2012 and on the Governing Body of Ysgol Penycae.

 

I am also on the Board of Trustees for Home-Start Wrexham, a charity which supports families with young children who are experiencing difficulties. I am passionate about improving the lives of children, young people and their families in Pen-y-Cae.
