Cllr. Sharron Jones
lived in Llwyneinion with my younger sister Lynne and my brother Nevin until I was six years old and we attended Ysgol y Rhos then our family moved to Afoneitha and later I attended Ysgol Rhiwabon (then Ruabon Girls Grammar School).
I left the area to train as a teacher at the Glamorgan College of Education, Barry and returned to Afoneitha four years later. I married, worked at Ysgol Bryn Alyn, Gwersyllt and lived in Ponciau for eight years before moving with my family to Trefechan. I now live in the village.
My four sons attended Ysgol Hooson and Ysgol Morgan Llwyd, where I worked until my retirement and I occasionally return there as a supply teacher.
I joined the Community Council approximately 5 years ago because I hoped that I would be able to assist in the continued development of our village as a community which serves the needs of all of its residents and of which we are, quite rightly, proud.
I have many interests including the safeguarding of the Welsh language, our natural environment and our public rights of way.
