Working with others

We also work with outside agencies and neighbouring Community Councils. In 2014, working in partnership with Rhos Community Council, the need for a safe route of passage from Pen-y-Cae to Rhos was identified.  Upon securing grant funding; a footpath and cycleway, beginning opposite the entrance to Cae Gabriel, around the edge of the pant playing fields and exiting near School Street in Rhos was installed along with street lighting.  This would now, among other benefits, provide a safe route to school for pupils.

Pen-y-Cae have been successful in establishing a consortia of community councils for a collaborative street lighting contract, which has lead to a reduction in costs to the community.
